Successful high volume South Florida kiteboarding/Kitesurfing business for sale.

South Florida Kiteboarding, in operation since 2004 is a well established kiteboarding school and retailer in South East Florida. Thanks to an 8 to 9 month windy season, student and sales volumes are higher than most similar sized schools/retailers around the world.

Locations to teach kiteboarding in SE Florida are ideal with many large warm, waist deep shallow water locations. Another major benefit to this location is the massive tourist and local customer base. The tourist season corresponds with the October to June windy season. You are guaranteed never to run out of customers in this market.

Established dealer for Cabrinha, Neil Pryde and Ozone kite gear. Huge sales advantage is very close geographic proximity to Cabrinha/Neil Pryde warehouse.

Excellent revenue stream in a constantly growing kiteboarding market. Kiteboarding/kitesurfing was recently ranked as the #1 fastest growing water sport in the world.

Assets included in the sale are:

2 company vans in excellent working order

1 specifically designed 2011 model year kite boat (originally purchased new for $29,000), used for primarily shallow water instruction and kiteboarding simulation.

Highly Google optimized and ranked web site

From $5000 to $10,000 in school gear and inventory (dependent on wind seasonal cycle)

Many other smaller assets included which will make purchase price very reasonable.

Business priced for quick sale for qualified applicant. Owner is selling business to focus on personal health issues. Owner will stay on as a consultant for 2 month period after final sale, with longer period negotiable.

Buyer Requirements

Proven business management track record.

Strong interest in kiteboarding/Kitesurfing. Willing to obtain basic kiteboarding instructor license. Previous outboard boat operation experience a big plus.

Kiteboarding instruction and sales activities are highly labor intensive. Buyer must be able to manage staff of instructors and fill in wherever necessary.

Must be prepared for quick sale (3 month time frame from first inquiry to final sale). Sales price will be dependent on many factors, but will be extremely reasonable for the right buyer due to quick sale requirement. Starting sales price will be 3 x cashflow (= net income for small business) for previous July 1 to July 1 season with adjustments based on inventory and other minor factors.

  • 6 Fantastic photo. Awesome power carve on the wave face. You can see it's windy and blown out for surfing. This is a photo that would make Surfers want to buy a kite to get more waves. Where are you kiting?
